Summer Rock Lab is for students who want to experience what it’s like to be in a real band — rehearsing daily, collaborating with other musicians, and preparing for a live performance.
Whether your child is new to their instrument or already playing confidently, we create bands that match their level so they can succeed and have fun. Most students walk in a little unsure—and leave the week confident, connected, and proud of what they accomplished.
Each day begins with a focused, interactive group session to get everyone engaged, followed by daily band rehearsals. Bands will write one original song and learn one cover, with the goal of getting on stage and performing for friends and family at the end of the week.
Led By A Team Of Experienced Music Educators
Summer Rock Lab Sessions are led by the founder and director of Reading School of Guitar and an experienced team of performers and music educators. Reading School of Guitar is a community-based music school serving hundreds of students each year through band programs, ensembles, and performance-based classes.
